Another Quik thread. Quik should be like Vice President at Aftermath/Interscope

If Dr. Dre is like the president, CEO etc etc of Aftermath then Dre should have him as like the VP of the label to help him run it from a producer an production standpoint. Now I know Quik already has his Mad Science label and Dr. Dre is like the most household Hip Hop producer name with all of the albums and headphones he's sold but those two together would be a force unlike no other. Quik is a music head to the core and while Quik could be in the studio more while Dr Dre oversees it all and has the final yah or nay with what goes they could really steadily putting even more classic albums fron the artists they work with. Quik is extremely talented but just has never be able to truly benefit fromfrom it but Dre has the platform and I think both could help each other out.

Quik comes in at a close second IMO when it comes to producing in Hip Hop.

from a business standpoint quik & dre seemed to be heading to that kinda relationship till quik didnt clear that addictive sample...

I dunno man, Quik makes dope music, but name one artist he's put on who's been successful commercially and able to stand on their own two feet? Plus duke is bi-polar as fukk. Dre just needs someone on the label who's gonna make sure the projects actually get released.

In my opinion. Quik can come just as clean and crisp with a song like Dre. Dre's got him beat with the number of times he's released an album like that though.

The closes Quik got to that Dre level was with Safe +Sound album. But even still done produce some songs that might. ot have gotten that household name recognition but were still great nevertheless

Oh I hear what you saying on not having a ground breaking artist but I don't think it's always the producer or artist's fault. Sometimes it could be lack of proper promo and funds by way of that artist's label, timing too. Timing is everyhing. Suga Free should be a star. Street Gospel should've been a ground breaking album but sometimes when an artist ain't got a label like Interscope to back they tend to not get the proper acknowledgment they should.

See I think it's more so the company he keeps than anything. Quik is a hood nikka all day and I think sometimes he allows that to be at the forefront more than his actual business of making dollars. Now I know he's sold a lot records but Quik should be like Dre level rich. That man is talented as fukk when it comes to producing. Someone like Dre would be good for him because it would help Quik be doing what does best and learning about how to make some moves in the game. Dre got them headphones and with that alone done cashed in unlike no other. I think they'd bring out the bes in each other.

He knows what to add, what to not to add, who to get for this or that etc He knows how to ehanced shyt and make it even better than what it was suppose to be from the begining. His creativity is that of genius and seemingly unlimited when he's focused. But he can also make beats as well it's just Dre ain't got the time for all of that no more. He's running a business.

Definitely hear that... just saying you put quik in a studio by himself and say make a jazz song... and he can spit it out. put dre in a studio by himself and say make a jazz song and its just not going to happen...
its definitely different types of producers and i aint saying dre aint talented as hell... just contrasting what they bring to the table.

quik was signed to arista by his 2nd album he was talkin shyt about the label and all the other

quik burnt that interscope/aftermath lane when he dissed troy marshall on killer dope



dre only fukked with quik because after quik dissed dre on u aint fresh, they squashed it, and quik started kissin dre ass and quk got all of dre's left overs

the truth hurts addictive track, was a birthday gift, aftermath was too lazy to clear it, because the sample is some shyt u wouldnt think anybody would recognize and so they put it out without durin research
