There are sanctuary cities in GA, MS, etc. The fact that you said "it's literally the point of doing so, to show these inept virtue signalers...." proves my point that GOP isn't working in good faith (also see their unwillingness to fund Homeland Security to stop entry in the first place), and the issue is being politicized rather than humanized. It's become a zero-sum game and cries of "too many immigrants" are empty concerns to me at this point.
