Remember 6-years ago when @2Quik4UHoes warned us that Caruso was “the Last Cactan Hero” and we all just kinda rolled our eyes like he ain’t no damn hero :comeon:he’s just Kirk Hinrich with male pattern baldness :childplease:

Mike Penberthy with a mean streak and CrossFit training :camby:

My Father in Heaven
Neither of these teams have impressed me- but now’s the time to backdoor a chip since the nba is in its 70s pre expansion era currently- league shifts rapidly every season

Umm I expect an ugly series- borderline unwatchable both these teams offenses are just super clunky and easy to shut down/bother with the right personnel- ummm give me Minny tho because Chet and Jalen just don’t seem reliable at all- Shai cemented his MVP but the NBA LOVES Anthony Edwards and so do the youth because he’s by far the most popular young player among that demographic

Okc’s bench and defense steps up like they should tho and I’ll most likely be wrong but I’ll stand on my pick

And that's a fair critique too.

But I think the difference here is, Minny's flaws have been less exposed because they've faced teams with a more considerable imbalance. At least the Thunder have been met with some resistance, whereas Minny has been playing downhill all postseason, causing folks to overrate them. Whereas we've had posters disrespect OKC and underrate them.
Before the playoffs the talk was about how the Lakers had an easy path and would roll through MN. I heard multiple national media talking about what the Lakers would do in the 2nd round like it was a foregone conclusion. Then the Wolves make easy work of them and apparently theyre the sorriest team in the league and the Wolves haven’t played a real team yet. And I also heard people swearing GS could best MN without Steph or at least get it to 6 or 7 to get him back because of how amazing their defense was. Wolves made quick work of them too and again the narrative is that they haven’t played a real team.

An overwhelming amount of that has to do with the Casual narrative that runs parallel to the Lakers; they're the most popular team, so their good angle is typically going to be captured, regardless if it matches with how they look in reality. Minnesota were never going to be easy for them given their biggest strength was LA's biggest weakness. I remember telling Lakers fans this very thing and because they were gassed off their team they didn't take it seriously enough.

This compounded by their bench and their starting center becoming unplayable and they were in deep waters quick.

Minny were playing downhill all series, not facing any resistance because the Lakers were reliant on Bron to anchor them on defense.

I refuse to believe anyone was seriously saying this.

GS without Steph are a lottery team, and not only that, but because they struggled generate any offense, whatsoever, without him during that series, it made it much easier on the T'Wolves because they could make mistake after mistake and GS simply weren't good enough to take advantage at the other end. Their defense is predicated on the momentum they create on offense, because it covers up for the fact that they don't have a legit frontcourt.

We'll see how Minny looks playing against a balanced team for once.

None of this playing against the Lakers with a 40-year-old wing as a defensive anchor because they don't have a frontcourt, and none of this playing against the Warriors without their best player (who'd otherwise be stuck in the lottery) also too without a frontcourt.

Would you please just shut the fukk up already?
