SGA has finally reached stardom, now starts the various agendas. Bill and them never talk about how a guard who doesn't attack the basket nearly as much as he does, Luka, has the same type of FTAs. Like why would Tatum, who shoots more than 50 % of his shoots from downtown have the same amount of FTAs.

People aren't attacking the basket as he is and are not as quick as he is. But also seems to have very high iq on how refs operate and uses that to his advantage, mixed with some flopping.

People wanna cook it down to like 1 factor when in reality it's a mix of very many factors.
When you constantly attack and also want to draw fouls, you will get more of them, like attacking big guys Embiid and Giannis who have been dominating FTAs the previous years. AI, Kobe, Dwade, and them all had the same thing.

Except when there's zero contact and phantom foul calls

It happens maybe once per 20 drives all the way to basket for all nba players, fortunately for him he probably lead the league in drives to the basket by far.
And he does it aggressively, making it even harder to see.

It's just wild if you people now think that the the NBA is rigging games for a dull and boring Canadian playing in the smallest market in the league :mjlol:

The whole league is like the Truman show, shyt soon they'll be saying that ACL injuries and shyt are just part of the Honorable Silver's masterplan :unimpressed:

Mark Jackson and JVG knew how to get people excited, how to hype up a big moment, give you quotable. Commentary is very important as a viewer, this group is so bad.
Just incredibly bad. Lack of real analysis too. Damn shame. At least upgrade if you’re going to make a firing

Ibaka was a good third option come on now. how is holmgren that much better as a third?

Ibaka was a great role player lol. Chet is a star talent, potentially generational as #2 pick that will make one soon. Serge a elite weakside shotblocker but his overall defense was overrated. He got cooked by a lot of nikkas specially in playoffs. That Dirk 48 on 15 shots or whatever bein the most infamous. ZBo, past prime Duncan, Blake.... They had to go to that cac Nick Collison to defend them when Serge was gettin cooked. Then on offense he can only hit spoonfed pick and pop 15fters that Russ or KD created for him. He was money from that range but all his shyt was assisted he couldn't do nothin on offense himself. Couldn't do much else. Serge also wasn't shootin 3s like that when he played wit KD so he ain't have that spacin dimension.

Chet can actually put the ball on the floor, they run plays from him off the post and even from 3pt line. He got vision and some playmakin and can create his own shot, cac got euros in his bag and shyt. Serge cant do none of that. Chet hits pullup shots, 3s, finishes. He way better than Serge on defense and on another universe offensively wit his skills. It's not close.

Serge was a real good role player but he was like a poor man version of what Myles Turner is who Pacers 3rd option and a way better player every facet.

Can't really compare today's game to 2011, ibaka was a good 3rd option at that time. The issue with the thunder team was depth

i agree with the bolded
however as it CURRENTLY stands the gap between the two isnt that wide

if you were going 3 on 3 and it was 2014 Durant, Westbrook and Ibaka vs. 2025 Holmgren, Shai and Jaylen that is pretty even...

He was a good 3rd option just not a great one. From that era

Bosh
KG or Ray
DWest
DAJ
Conley
Love
Iggy/Lee then Draymond
Baby Kawhi
Bynum

Was way better 3rd options. All of em was star level or All NBA most even made it as 3rd options. Serge was like a Batum/Wes Matthews or Gortate level 3rd option like Portland had wit Dame and LMA or Washington wit Wall and Beal. Good not great.

And yeah depth and coachin as well was OKC biggest issues. Scott Brooks gotta be in the runnin for WOAT coach to coach a contender.
