Yawn. People advocate for tanking because they want high-end talent. The easiest way to get high-end talent is the draft. The higher you draft, the more likely you are to get a great player.

It's really not that complicated.

And anyway, it's a fact. The higher you draft, the more likely you are to grab a great player. Does it guarantee you a great player? No. But there is no method to building a team that has a 100% success rate

He didn't even look that good coming out of college, you could see he had no moves, he was undersized and he wasn't THAT athletic. Guy could easily have been picked in the later rounds but I guess the highlights on youtube mesmerized some morons in Cleveland but it was an awful move.

I have zero years of Basketball scouting and from everything I've seen of dude playing. I wouldn't have picked that nikka. Everybody involved in that pick should be fired and banned from making any more basketball decisions.

I mean he had asthma and sleep apnea and I'm sure the Cavs front office was aware of that... at least I think

This is exactly why the use of tanking is overrated.

It was a garbage draft class, and he wasn't #1 on the vast majority of boards. That was just a garbage pick in a garbage year.
