the question has been one of the toughest to answer, every year nba has scrubs and everything where its hard to pick one that really is worse than others
but anthony bennett....holly shyt, he was given too many opportunities and he got cut from all the teams. He's too slow for sf too weak for pf, always outta shape good for nothing WOAT nba player

It was a garbage draft class, and he wasn't #1 on the vast majority of boards. That was just a garbage pick in a garbage year.

He ONLY went number on for the NBA storyline of having two canadian players selected 1st back to back. Everyone knew Wiggins was going #1 the following year.
This is the only way I can make sense of him being drafted so high.

I think dude is mentally broken
he didn't deserve to go #1 but dude was a legit lottery prospect that year. I remember going into the tourney there was debate over whether he should be #1 or not, it's not like he came out of nowhere.
the message board i was on then had a whole agenda over whether dude was worth #1 pick BEFORE he lost in the tourney. i think he would have went 5th or 6th worst case but #1 just makes it stand out more
edit: quick check of 2013 mock drafts and most had him going in the 6-10 range with sbnation having him go 4th. not too far off
