I remember certain idiots complaining that "LeGM" traded this dude ....
People seriously complained that the Cavs got rid of Waiters and Bennett and got Mozgov, SHump, and JR...
I do remember a thread where people were bashing those moves. I remember people saying the cavs were dumb to trade two top picks for Love too (although the outrage was really more about Wiggins)
To be honest, this forum contains just about every good or bad opinion imaginable. I find it strange that people find it so unbelievable that someone would make a dumb post on here.
I remember those posts too. They weren't just saying Wiggins, they were trying to trash the Cavs for trading away "two" #1 picks, as if trading Bennett counted too.
Found examples of people talking about Bennett like he was an actual asset the Cavs lost, and these aren't even the ones I remember.
Right and all we got to show for it is Love and on top of it we lost Bennett and a 1st rd pick.
Your right...also keep in mind I have never been aboard the get Love bandwagon I rather have the players we have as I think they can develop...I could be wrong but I liked what I saw from Bennet and Wiggins...I'm not a fan of Keeping waiters and packaging him with a pick for a center.
Wiggins wasn't going to be very good this year but even then, you had a two way player in Wiggins. You had a stretch 4 in Bennett. If push come to shove, you have great trade value with Wiggins. With Love, it's like, where can he go and get value back? Love will most likely stick and leave to green pastures like SAS.
To be honest I cant really blame him when he was starting the team was winning and his +/- was pretty good. Waiters gets a bad wrap for Kyrie's selfishness and he's better than people think.
If you had to sit on the bench and watch Kyrie chuck up shots with no repercussions while your team loses by 10+ you would be pissed to.
If I was Cleveland I would trade him and Tristan Thompson to another team for shooters cuz I think he can be a decent point guard and move to the scoring guard when needed.
Bennett is showing some promise in the Summer League and the Cavs would be better if they started Wiggins and Bennett and let Kyrie and Bron handle the ball and find them when there open.
Bennett with LeBron is the perfect asset for LeBron because he's a stretch four that can knock down the three and still capable of rebounding. There's no reason in hell you would need Tristan unless you trade Andy and Andy can't be traded because he's the only holding stick to LeBron from when he was here.
