That draft is why the foreign guys have gained more traction this year, nobody wants to miss on Gobert, Giannis, Schroeder type players again.
Gobert is the weird one. You'd think with the premium on rim protection, someone would have taken a chance on a 7'2 dude with that wingspan.

Giannis, I can see why he fell. The athleticism is there, obviously, but it seems difficult to project how well skills translate over to the NBA. That Bruno dude for Toronto is a good example.

His weight hasn't been an issue in Minnesota, I don't know where you're getting he can't shoot from.
Maybe from the facts that his overall FG% is around 42%, and from 3 it's been 25% and 30%. Look at his shot percentages by distance on basketball-reference.

the issue he's gonna face now is that while the PF spot is likely gonna be open for him to seize, it wouldn't be smart to pick up his option regardless, so he has no security and no real place here moving forward. He's in a tough spot because his teammates like him and stuff but he seems to be an afterthought already by Flip (I thought Flip didn't do right by him most of the time but Bennett would do some shyt that made you think Flip was justified.

I really hope he's watching Draymond Green footage because there's no reason why he can't study that and become Green instead of LJ like a lot of people thought.

It is possible to be drafted to the wrong situation with increased unrealistic expectations breh...

Do you know the full back story on his rookie year?

I've been following him since he was drafted, I'm still trying to make sense of it all.

=/= to him not being able to shoot.

his top of the key jumper is actually pretty good. The issue there is that sometimes Bennett thought Flip ONLY wanted him to take that shot and Flip's mantra is "if it's an open shot, take it." Bennett took that to heart and would shoot it no matter what or when, to the point where he didn't do shyt else if that shot wasn't there. He was like Uncle Jesse in Full House with his "sweet spot"

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?

Yeah, Gobert's situation doesn't really make sense, especially when his measurements came out and he's basically the "longest" player ever and there was a ton of footage on him from France. I think teams were shook he'd be another Saer Sene or some shyt, but he had been playing ball a long time already so I don't know what happened there. They really just dropped the ball on Gobert.

I saw the differences in Bruno and Giannis, the fact Giannis was basically playing PG in his league at his size should have told teams all they needed to know while Bruno was your standard SF that shoots 3s. Their skill bases were much much different, Giannis being able to handle the ball so much at 6'10" is rare.

Bennett has showed some flashes that he can play, but dude has personal issues like weight and I heard he had breathing problems too. He was never supposed to be a #1 pick, it was a terrible choice by the Cavs.
