Had an incredible season. Was arguably the best defender in the league. Lakers leading scorer too. Arguably, the best two way player in the league.

Now certain STANLEYS will say he's just a sidekick bc he didn't win FMVP. There are ppl saying he's basically Bron's Pippen. Some say Pippen is better than AD.

We knew the narrative behind the Lakers success would be attributed to Bron. Now, AD gets little respect for the Laker turnaround.

HE HAD AN INCREDIBLE SEASON. GIVE HIM HIS FLOWERS.

Incredible season, we hear it all the time but this was truly a 1a 1b type of season. The ONLY thing that slows him down is injuries. He is constantly falling on the floor and in and out of games. Seems like 1 in every 5 possessions ends with him on the ground. He cleans that up and he'll be ready to be the sole alpha on a championship team

While I still have my critiques of AD, he's starting to overcome a lot of it. While we won't see it in the counting stats, I think his peak is still to come as he grows into more of a consistent creator rather than a "finisher"(applies to more than dunks/layups), and becomes more willing to hold down the Center position than imo punking out at PF most of the time

AD's efforts were praised by tons of people.....in fact there were threads calling him the best player on the lakers. There were posts saying he was going to be finals MVP.

There were people saying that he should have been DPOY(which I agree with).

No laker fan or sensible person has downgraded his contribution.

The clear plan for the future in LA is to try to build the team around his prodigious skillset going forward

Vogel says today that all signs point to him wanting to be a Laker for life ...he's just entering his prime and there should be no reason for Bron to run out the back door for greener pastures like he did MIA and Cleveland twice...so we should be able to witness some ill ass inverse magic and kareem type dynamic between them and go off on a lil run here...couple more chips

Individually he was phenomenal this year, the leading scorer, rebounder and defensive cornerstone of a title team...was even better in the playoffs...DPOY defensive impact along with scoring volume and efficiency on par with peak KD or Dirk...
