AD and Boogie why do we gotta choose?

Let's all just sit back and enjoy the greatness once these dudes mature mentally:blessed:

AD turned into a god damn beast in year 3 in our OAs. He's so quick and his jumper:noah: I really hope the Pelicans can stay healthy and make a playoff run this year, I got a feeling AD gonna avg 20/15/3 or 4 blocks this year he is gonna be a savage out there:banderas:

Exactly... Dudes comparing him to Duncan are letting me know they aren't watching his strengths and skillset...Duncan was a born post player... Davis was a guard his whole life until he his a growth spurt 3 years ago...

Plus the game has evolved.. Im seeing it at the grass roots level.. I faught the shift for as long as I couldn't because I grew up on Shaq, Mourning and Hakeem.. But that ship has sailed...

Davis can do to the PF position what Bron did for the 3...Setting his ceiling at Tim Duncan (as great as he is) is leaving tools in the tool box..

Malone ate off of P&R's from the 2nd greatest PG of all time..

Barkely was an anamoly which the league will probably never see again..

The game has evolved.. How all yall n1ggas way younger than me and still stuck in the 80's?

:mjlol:

:salute:

I'm glad you crossing over. Now about that PG position..... :mjpls:

Yall just gonna focus in on ONE part of the article, not read where it says he working on more facets of his game than that, and just roll wit it huh?

The Coli way.

And AD will be the best PF in the league in two years. By far. Quote me.

Y'all need to stop putting down Boogie Cousins to prop up Anthony Davis.

I know there ain't many people on this site checking for the Kings either. Cousins as come a long way since his rookie year and is only 23 years old.

once again i don't care about davis vs. cousins. i simply don't think davis is worthy of the hype some of ya'll give him. he might be better than cousins, but he is not that great. the fact cousins (who many people don't think much of) produces the same and is only slightly older should be evidence to that fact.

davis will NEVER be the best player on a title team. that is all. and if he can't do that, then he'll never be best player in the league, let alone best in the next 2 years WHICH IS WHAT I WAS RESPONDING TO.

:russ:

Can you please clarify this statement, because I am absolutely confused by the logic behind it. You say he is not a great player and he can never be the best player on a title team, but its already been established by advanced metrics and analysts that he is a franchise type player with all time great potential. Barring injuries, it is indisputable that he will be the best big man in the NBA in a few years. Better than Love, Griffin, Howard, etc. And if the best PF/C in the NBA can't be the best player on a contender, you are essentially implying that a big man can never lead a team to a championship in this era.

So what is it?

:what:

Anthony Davis is 21 years old...

6'10 PF that was a high school guard just 4 yrs ago. At Kentucky he lived off of putbacks and alley oops. They didn't start running plays for him until about just past halfway through the season at Kentucky. Came into the league and had decent stats his first year 15/8/2 on 52% shooting. Again, he lived off of running the floor and oops, with the occasional jumper mixed in. Check this jump!

His 2nd year in the league he averaged 20/10/3 on 52% shooting. But beyond the numbers, if you watched him this year compared to last you would understand why I say he will be the best player in the league in 2 years. He has a willingness to WORK on his game, he's coachable and most important he has the tools!
He has the face up game of a guard in a 6'10 frame, his 1st step against other 4's is just STUPID! He attacks the glass like he wants EVERY rebound.

But the defensive end of the court is why I say he will be the best player in the league in 2 years. He is DOMINANT defensively, the added muscle will only help him to be stronger on the ball defensively. He closes out on shooters and affects shots because of his freakish wingspan. We don't even need to discuss the havoc in the paint he causes.

There may be other players better offensively, but in 2 years there will not be a better all court player than Anthony Davis, not Lebron and certainly not KD. The things he does defensively they simply can't do.

2 years isn't too far away. We'll just have to wait and see. I'm a bit perpelexed by this hype. I've watched him and I never thought transcendant player.

I'm betting in 2 years he still hasn't made the playoffs on some Kevin Love tip and is angling to be traded. Thats my bet.

never said that. I think he's a great young player with a great future. but more along the lines of Chris Webber NOT Tim Duncan. I don't see him as a transcendant player which is what he would be, if he was the best player in the NBA in 2 years (he'd only be 22 years old). I was responding to this statement and was shocked that others were agreeing with it, since I haven't seen anything to suggest he'd be transcendant.

I'm glad you mentioned Love, Griffin, and Howard. To me they are the definition of paper tigers. Great numbers but not great impact. They're the best at their position but only because the PF and C position is right now historically weak. None of them will ever be the best player in the league. Too many flaws. And none will be the best player on a title team.

and you can stick those advanced metrics up your ass. I trust my eyes and what I see. not a bunch of shyt created by some stats geeks that never played a sport in their lives. Kevin Love should be exhibit A why no one should pay attention to that shyt. that fat cac is garbagio.
