How was he the most dominant ever? Again, outside of touchdowns Kelce does what gronk did in his best season, every season.

Gronk NEVER had a 100 catch season and Kelce is working on his 3rd :dwillhuh:

And for as great as his best season was Gronk got a bunch of 40 catches for 600 yards and 5 touchdown catches ? How is that dominant ?

Kelce aint never once ever caught less than 65 passes in a season. Gronk spent half his career not even catching that many passes.

Dude is the ultimate look the part athlete. It sure does look cool when Gronk catches it and runs over some safety and does his little cac dance and spikes the ball. That don't have anything to do with the fact that Kelce has played 2 less years than gronk and ALREADY has more catches than him and will likely eclipse him in yards this year.

Posters in here talking about the dominance of a player where there is a player who plays the same position as him putting up better numbers in less games :dwillhuh:

If you think gronk is dominant then you got to think Gates and Kelce are deity's.

Every time these Gronk threads come up no one calling gronk dominant ever talks about how many catches he had, or how many yards he had, or how many great seasons in a row he had. Me thinks its because if you were to actually do that it would be very easy to show tight ends who did it better for longer...

The hardest part of dominance is consistency. Anybody can have a great year or two or even three. You know why Kelce got 5 straight years of at least 80 catches and 1100 yards ? Cause he is that good. You know why Gronk don't have a stretch of 5 years like that ? Cause he's not good enough to.

I don't even know how you could fix your mouth to even say Gronk was better than Gates. The top 6 years of Gates career are almost as productive as Gronks whole career :dwillhuh:.

We do understand the number one priority of a tight end is to catch the football, get yards, and score right ? Blocking is great but there is a reason why pass catching tight ends go in the second round and blocking tight ends go in the 6th.

Comparing a dude who got over 900 catches to a dude who don't even have 600 ? This is embarrassing even for the coli :gucci:
The west coast style offense the Chiefs utilize Kelce is going to get those receiving #s. In New England’s offense he was asked to do much more than Kelce, and the physicality he plays with had him sustain more injuries and miss more time than Kelce.

He’s a great receiving TE, but Gronk is the ultimate dual threat at the position. The impact of him along with the acquisition of Tristan Wirfs helped elevate the Bucs offensive line significantly.

As a receiver he has a larger catch radius that TK, better hands, better at the line of scrimmage as a blocker, more effective downfield & and a more dominant option one on one vs defenders

So although we could give the edge to Kelce over Gronk as a receiving option, at their peak it’s close and the other aspect of the position Gronk is better.

Facts:russ::russ:
Cacs staying exposing they goofy selves
So it's facts that he did it in "less games" when he played 5-8 more games than Gronk multiple years.

You know if you compare stats PER GAME. You know............ The thing people use when they dont have an agenda. You wanna know why y'all didnt mention that and why it's a nikkas in here lying about Gronk playing more games with worse numbers. Because PER GAME, the debate is dead as fukk.

Y'all nikkas are trash :mjlol:

Above the fray.
Gronk was a money receiver.

In fact, the second time the Giants beat the Patriots in the SB, he came close to pulling off a circus catch that would have won the game with the clock expiring.

Gates is one of the worst blocking tight ends ever and Gronk is pretty good as a blocker

Receiving I would say prime Gates is better but Gronk is closer to him as a receiver than Gates is to Gronk as a blocker
This. The key factor is the blocking. Gronk is another lineman when he is run/pass blocking. THAT is the difference.

He terrorized my Steelers by his lonesome. Every game we tried different ways to combat him. He mossed them all. Corners. Linebackers. Safetys. He damn near dunked on Troy P. :mjcry:

I wouldnt argue anybody down on this take.. Gates just missing the playoff magic that Gronk has. We just didnt get to see Gates do it when it mattered. Not his fault tho

I don’t know about being better than Gronk or Gonzalez, but Gates is one of the greatest athletes ever IMO. He didn’t even play college football, instead having a very good college basketball career. And then having a HOF career in the NFL? Amazing
