Ants are the most powerful pound for pound creatures on the planet. If they were the size of Chihuahuas they would rule the earth and we wouldn't be here. Smart...organized...relentless.

Bugs can't grow beyond a certain size without higher levels of oxygen in the atmosphere.

Nature is crazy. I was watching some show and ants get these bugs that go in their brain and control their whole body and other ants know it's fukked up so they take the ant far away from the nest so it could die.

You mean the Cordyceps fungus. It’s what the game ‘The Last Of Us’ was based on.

I'm from New Jersey. But them eating organic/rotted material shows them to be scavengers/foragers, not necessarily predators (how vultures don't 'hunt'). Seeing a swarm over a carcass wouldn't lead me to believe ants specifically killed it, as I def haven't seen it often if at all.
