Anxiety is a part of life. Everyone goes through it at some point. But real men dont sucumb to their emotions.. real men over come them. Its not your fault. Your just a product of the soft generation used to looking for the easy way out.. looking to pills and others to help you deal with the realities of life rather than handling your business like a man. unless your saying your crazy and have psychological issues.. in that case i would sympathize with you and hope you get the help you need to rejoin normal society... but thats not what your implying in this thread.

I hate people like you, who have no education or experience regarding anxiety and mental health yet make bullshyt assumptions. You have no idea what you're talking about, obviously haven't experienced true anxiety yourself or anyone close to you or else you wouldn't say this. Anxiety can be absolutely crippling

Yea it can be crippling I used to get them pretty often and eventually got prescribed Kpins. Everyone would say that it was a temp fix and I really had to address the issue and understand what was happening to overcome it but I thought it was all just bullshyt and would rather take a pill. I wish that had never happened, the pills help but after a while you get to the point where you feel like you need them for every thing and you begin to build a tolerance and need more. After about a year and a half or more of taking these pills I realized I had to stop, they dumb you down and make you forget nearly everything. It was not easy but I am 100x happier now that I don't have to rely on that anymore. One of the main things that helped me was exercise, it would clear my head and relieve my stress in ways that drugs can't. Also anyone that says you need to "Man up" and get over it has no clue what they are talking about and you sound ignorant as fukk. Like ppl said above a good thing to do is over expose yourself to these situations that trigger panic attacks and then try to figure out what is triggering it. Eventually you learn that whatever you were so nervous about happening is often not even a realistic possibility and you can over come it. I am tempted to begin meditation but it always seemed a little too out there for me but I have heard good things recently.

They are pretty terrible. They pretty much stop you from living your life if they get bad enough. Also doesn't help if your around negative people telling you to get over it..

he's an abc news anchor that had a panic attack live on the air. the book's about his search to find a 'cure' & the best thing he found was meditation.

That's why your a bytch. you think your the only one who faces anxiety and hardships in life. Its a cold hard world breh. that's life. You can choose to lay down and die or pop your anxiety pills but I don't gotta respect you for it. Some of us man up and conquer our fears and emotions. Ive been through a lot of shyt but I pushed on through. It aint easy but life aint easy for everyone. Just be happy your in a country that coddles your bytch ass for the purpose of making money off you for big pharma. Your disorder is one of privilege. It's like going to a poor country were people where food is scarce and people are starving.. you wont find an anorexic there.

i can't speak for anyone else in here but my shyt aint have nothin to do with emotions imo :yeshrug: i can't control some random shyt my brain did instantly when i woke up when i can't even make sense of what's happening

that being said i have no interest in using any type of medication, if it stops it stops, if not :manny: i'll live, 1-2 days out the month for about a total of 2 minutes aint gon kill me

First time you had a panic attack should have been last time cause your pops should have slapped the shyt outta you and told you to man up like mine did.

We all live in our circumstances and just because things could be worse doesn't stop people from having anxiety. Its a medical condition, not something everyone can just suck up. You fukking moron, I hate people like you. You're unable to realize that you have never experienced anxiety and clearly don't have an understanding to say its something your dad can just beat out of you. My dad was a marine and is more of a man than you will ever be and he suffers from severe anxiety.

The thing about anxiety attacks is they can be set on by anger also. When I had my first one, my personal life was chaotic. I was just pissed off all the time. I also had it after I smoked a bunch of weed. Some advice, don't smoke weed, it doesn't make you happy, it just enhances whatever mood you're in. I didn't know what it was, and didn't know how to stop it. Once the first one hits it snowballs.

Get out and exercise.

Those will help with daily anxiety. Not sure about full-on attacks tho.
