Last night I couldn't walk brehs or even get up because the pain was so intense. It came out of nowhere.

I've been doing some stretches I found online and I can walk but it still hurts:mjcry:

Will this ever go away? I'm legit scared I've never had this happen before. I dont know if i can go to work on Monday

Go to the doctor man.

One random thing that causes back pain that most ppl dont realize is constipation. That could possibly be ur problem

Ok breh. Here is my advice because i lived with 2 herniated discs for 2 years...

1) stretch twice a day for 20 min. Do not get outta bed and start your day without stretching. Do not go to bed without stretching.

2) get a firm mattress. Dont be sleeping on a 300 dollar mattress...it will kill your back.

3) use your knees when picking up stuff. Try to avoid picking shyt up if you can.

4) get access to a pool and do some water exercises to strengthen your lower back, hips and you will feel better sooner.

5) do not lift heavy weights

6) go about your day as you would if there was no back pain. Minus heavy lifting and so forth.

7) do not take pain killers. Some tylenol when you go to bed.

8) if pain doesnt diminish in a week or so, get an x ray to see if any discs ruptured and are touching nerves.

9) stretch, stretch, stretch.

10) drink lots of water.

Good luck with recovery bruh.

-Heat and ice
-Stretch everyday (you can Google some stretches to do)
-Epsom salt bath
-Don't rest too much, only the first few days when you can't walk

How did it happen?

fukking ironically I think it's from sitting too much

I'm trying to walk around a bit just to keep myself moving but anything like bending over or any quick movement just shoots pain in my back

I'm gonna keep doing those stretches 2-3 times a day and hopefully it'll go away

This + buy a back belt. The rubber ones .Wear it tightly about 4hours in and 4 hours off during the day. Take it off before sleep. You will thank us later .

I retired from my job of 17 years in April of this year due to a back injury. Almost back to 100%. Physical therapy and everything mentioned in this thread will help greatly....but I cant stress this part enough....the Chiropractor is your BEST friend in this situation. I go to my regular chiro office once a week (electric current, laser, and acupuncture) and I have a membership to The Joint (basic adjustments). So I go at least twice a week.
