Me and my ex split up 6 weeks ago and she moved out. My kid is gonna be with her family all week, so I'm gonna be solo dolo...

Bagged a decent one thats in a similar situation so might chill with her.....my dad and grandma passed away so the family I'm close with is gone...

I cut my family off a long time ago...

Holidays are just another day to me... I'll be playing Red Dead and cooking a turkey for me and my dog... it'll be his last thanksgiving ... so he'll get his turkey leg and pass out happy most the day


I work from home on apartments so I also just go work on vacant apartments on Christmas and shyt...

Damn bruh.

Ain't nothing like having family. As much as we fight we still together every major holiday and in between. My parents and my grandparents kept us all together.

Once my parents pass on, things will change big time. But I'll always be close with my fam. Hopefully some of y'all can start new traditions and have a family of your own some day. Take care of yourselves.

I recently had to cut my immediate family off and moved to Florida and spending the holidays with just my girl. We both are completely away from family for the first time. The only difference is i dont talk to my family and she talks to hers. Its been fukking with me lately. If youre without family during the holidays how do you handle it? What do you do to keep your mind off of it?

Majority of my extended family can't stand each other .One half goes somewhere else another half goes somewhere else.Thanksgiving is basically a dinner with some wack games,me myself I rather do some work .Now Christmas/New Years I spend with family I want to spend it with.

I spend at least Thanksgiving or Christmas by myself every year I prefer seeing family during regular days, I don't enjoy the holidays at all.

Me. I was alone last year too and honestly it’s not that bad. I ordered Christmas Day food delivery, played some games, called all my siblings, nephews and wished them Merry Christmas and that was that.

The Holidays are overrated. Nothing but false doctrines, europeanized, paganistic, ritualistic, and corporate influenced. I don't "celebrate" any of it, once I started learning the true origins. Loneliness is a state of mind. We don't need whitewashed mass produced traditions to be family-oriented. If I'm not on speaking terms with family, there's a reason for it.

If you're letting "holidays" affect your emotional state, I don't know what to tell you. Not letting 2 days out the year affect the 363 other days, especially when there's no relevant significance bc it's not historically or spiritually accurate.
