Good friend of mine was alone this year plus she’s going through a break up. Took her a plate and spent a couple hours with her. Would’ve invited her over but she wasn’t in the right state of mind to socialize.

No one should spend the holidays alone. If you have friends who are alone reach out even if it’s just to say hello

I'm dreading New Years Eve to be honest.

Just came home from a small family Thanksgiving and can't lie, it was super depressing.

It's been a rough year and I'm going through a breakup (almost 8 years) along with butting heads with my daughter (she's 14) and not seeing eye to eye with fam too. On top of that, this girl I've been seeing for a few months has some issues right now and that may also be coming to an end.

Seriously just trying to make it thru NYE, brehs.

Eh its easy for me since im a loner to begin with. Plus it also helps that my family is dysfunctional so i don't really care to be around them.

Lived across the country from the family plus my mom has underlying issues and not try to risk it with Covid still around. You get used to it after a while and don't try to make this time of the year bring you down. Be grateful for what you have and enjoy the peaceful day with some cooked foods and some drinks.
