I need more to work with age, and what you want to do. What kind of experience do you want, the touristy things or the real Philly experience.
I would stay downtown, around cityline or the airport. Check out king of Prussia, good restaurants, theater things to do.
Clubs: vango, blue martini, z bar, the club's here aren't too bad if you stay downtown.
Do not go any further north than broad and Girard, west 48th and market, south broad and Washington, but you can hang out further past broad and synder.
Out NE you can check out Franklin mills, plenty to do and eat around there.
Do not eat at genos or pats...shyt is bukkake
If you must eat at a well known spot goto Jim's on 4th and south or max's on broad and Erie...beware max's is in the heart of the hood, and if you go there around the wrong hours something might go down.

Although there is a gas station on Spring Garden and Delaware Ave, that sells fried chicken at like 3am. A few of my friends say its pretty good, but they're also drunk/drugged up so who know. I'll just take their word for it

Coming down for 2 wrestling shows at the ECW arena. That's the reason for going.
Would've liked to have caught an eagles game.

But check out xfinity live Around the stadiums. Go bar hopping in main street manayunk. Take a walk on Penn's landing on a sunny day.
I'd you like to exercise outdoors, go down Kelly drive or do that to simply people watch. Rittenhouse square is good for that too.

"the industry" means the nightlife, clubs, bars, etc. There is also bar/restaurant in South Philly called the Industry.

Its also the complete opposite direction of where he is going. ECW arena is in the southeast by 95 and colombus ave

Man that nikka don't know what he talking about. Nobody I know goes to no fukking gas station for a cheesesteak and why a lot of cats sound like white dudes with all this hanging out in Manayunk and shyt lol. I go there too every now and then but I don't think that's the hot spots for blacks like that hell sure ain't when I'm out there.
