When I was in 9th grade everybody was screaming Facebook was for cacs, the next year we all had one though. shyt was weird as fukk lol.
Folks always do that when they dont have access to something. Look at how black people used to view plastic surgery, now everyone gets work done because its affordable now.

I actually legit met A LOT of people and interacted with them on a regular basis via Myspace, and FB pre college was cool because it allowed me to separate my college social media and my real life social media. Social media fell off so hard gradually after MS died and the great migration.

I think about MySpace from time to time. I definitely miss it. :mjcry:

I got up on BlackPlanet when they jacked the MySpace layout. :mjlol:

The MySpace reup as a music/entertainment site was/is triddash. :lolbron:

Real talk: bring it back as it was (along with some more up to date tweaks), but market it exclusively towards kids and preteens (I’m iffy about actual teens :patrice:). Like, their first social media site. The customization of the pages (them learning HTML in the process), adding songs, adding their top friends onto their page...I think that appeal would be great for the youngins. :jbhmm:

Better be ways to make sure no grown MFs go on there tryin to create a profile as a child

I was a lame back then so never felt the urge for a My Space:mjcry:

Why did it die out? It was the perfect formula for what everybody is describing. Was it ultimately smartphones that did it in? What's the difference between IG/TikTok and My Space success wise?

MySpace fukked up by showing who visits your page ...you couldn’t stalk or check out pages on the low anymore that’s where they messed up.....

the search functions have to this day been unmatched you could search by radius, smokers, # of kids, who’s online , religion etc

I ate so good off it bruhs :banderas: I wish i never lost my password i lost so many great photos it was essentially photobucket

also those top 8’s started so many fights :lolbron:

Brianna from 4th period Calculus posting bikini pictures from summer vacation

or

Lynette from homeroom with her thong hanging out her jeans.

And this is before smartphones, so we was really logging into a computer
:dead:

Was nothing like it at the time
