Got PRK done last year. After wearing glasses all my life it was money well spent. The actual procedure only took around 10 minutes. The healing is where it sucks. You'lI notice immediately after the procedure you can see better but it takes longer to heal with PRK than LASIK. I had to be driven around for a week and a half before I could drive. Even then I couldn't really drive at night. Plenty of different kinds of eye drops you'll use. You have to wear shades when you're in sunlight for awhile also.

thanks 4 all the replies
the responses seem 50% positive and 50% negative so I will just keep it simple with the contacts and glasses for now

it seems like to me it depends on where u get em done, or who does them or something I dunno, based on the mixed posts

i had Vitrectomy to fixed detached retina along with the gas bubble. i wish that experience on no man or woman.

but laser CORRECTIVE eye surgery is suppose to be a walk in the park apparently.
Whats that?and how did you know it was detached

Lasik Vision Institute was getting flamed on Facebook by people who used them. Lasik Plus seemed to be the better option.

But check Reddit Lasik sub for more people's experiences with PKR and Lasik.

Best money I’ve spent. Had it years ago. No pain, a lil pressure but it’s all good.

It’s all laser now. Cut cornea flap, laser corrects eyes, flap goes back. Took about 5 minutes. Was told to go home (have to have a driver), take a nap. When I woke up I was already gucci.

Checkups have been straight. Well worth it.

my left eye is shaky, nowhere near as crisp as my right eye but i hardly wear my glasses, basically never.
so i feel its not worth it.
I think about it alot though.
$300?
If both my eyes were shot i'd prolly do it, it sounds routine. Ive had 6 root canals. Cant be worse that that mess.

My girl got it a couple years ago. It’s a shame because I LOVED her look with glasses. But oh well...

Anyway one eye was fine. The other got an abrasion during the process and it was painful as fukk. She was on pain meds and eye drops for about 3 months while it healed. It was so bad she would just be sitting there in tears sometimes.

But now everything is healed and her vision is perfect.
