From an English speakers perspective I could see why you think that. But I don't agree tho I'm coming from a French speakers perspective.I can translate it if I read it because it's so similar to Haitian creole, but I cant speak it well nor write it. It's hard as shyt. A bunch of silent sounds and masculine/feminine shyt. It's similar to Spanish but had more masculine/feminine words for stupid shyt that I really don't care of its male or female.
English got a lot of silent shyts and other inconsistencies too.
- Tell me why do you spell knife with a 'K' in it.
- Why don't you don't you pronounce the 'A' in Michael?
- Why do the "ea" combination sound different between the words "bear" and "fear"?
- Same thing for the "oes" for the words "does", "goes" vs "toes" or "foes"
- Why is is when you pronounce you "J"s they sound like you're combining it with a "D" in front of it like "dj"
- Can y'all make up your minds on how you wanna pronounced "finance" already?
- Etc etc
