im pretty open to bikes i just dont like those rice burners... or those whites dudes who ride them up and down the highway, cutting in and out of lanes, slapping my hood and giving me the finger :pacspit:

Actually that bike would be good for a beginner rider. Light weight and low power. Id stay off the highways, just hit the backroadsm

Pretty Boys
it's 30's 40's 50's here in north atl and i still see folks on their bikes. i used to be jealous, but unless you have heaters everywhere i can't see riding in that weather. takes the pleasure away.

windchill is a mfer. can't operate controls, shift, brake, or turn your head right cause it's too damn cold. my cutoff is min 55f and sunny with no wind. other than that i'll wait until it warms up. i'm good.

also tired of dudes asking me about quiet helmets. ain't no such thing. get earplugs.

Was riding around Canada and Europe a couple months ago. Talking Switzerland, Germany, etc. In November/December.

Ordered some Hippo Hands and had little to no trouble in cold weather. Rain was annoying, but still very much doable.

They are ugly as hell, but worth if riding around in colder temperatures.

Night riding a dark and rainy French mountain pass is just...:blessed:

What airbag jacket combo are y'all rocking right now?

I hate to wear an airbag underneath and wearing it over a jacket dont look right. Then there's not many jackets with integrated airbags.

Im thinking i just buy a tech air 5 plasma and a regular alpine jacket, call it a day

I use the Helite vest (along with the fork attachment) when in Europe, where I ride a Tenere 700.

Have a Tech Air for the states, where I ride an Africa Twin.

I wear the Tech Air over a ghost jacket but under a regular shirt. Wear the Helite over everything. Tech Air feels less intrusive, but either one works out well.

Riding season in full swing

What are your plans ? Any trips, upgrades, etc ? I got my bike (Lowrider S) tuned over the winter. Almost bit the bullet and got a Hyabusa. But, another monthly payment is a bad idea. Going to ride Skyline Drive (VA), amd Tail Of The Dragon (NC). Cruisers are the way to go.

A new Road Glide will set you back 30k, a lot of folks making $600 a month payments. Found a 2023 Hyabusa for 16k

My bike is out of commission until I get my rim fixed… end of May; hit a pothole. Sucks but I ended up getting some new parts. Bought some piaa aux lights. Just waiting for the mounts so I can install.

new season is always interesting. got to be humble to accept your skill level, be safe, have fun. and that goes for new and experienced riders.

anyway...

might take the advanced rider course again...been a long time. iron sharpens iron.

might go for an upgraded seat, extra comfort on longer rides.

unlikely, but might go to a bike night. last time had a good mix of young cats, women riders, old heads, sport bikes, nakeds, cruisers.

There is a retired Motorcycle Cop who runs a riding course by me. That’s a good idea im taking an advanced class. Im working on trail breaking a lot more. Obviously, a Cruiser is not a sport bike and will never handle like one. Scraping pegs are fun though. When I had a Bagger, it was easy to scrape the floorboards

trail braking...breh. that's advanced, but can save your azz. i practice light front brake to slightly compress suspension and increase contact patch, light throttle at same time to keep the line. i try to do most braking before turns to help out.

best bikers i've ever seen are retired motorcycle cops. they got crazy skills.

I took the class to learn how to ride; cops taught it. Before class they wouldM do all types of tricks. I barely use my front break unless coming to a stop at the light. Between my engine breaking and rear it gives my enough.

My bike been collecting dust. I was hype to ride at first, but I keep hearing about all the retarded drivers. Especially the ones that pull out in front of you.:francis:

How often do y'all run into dumbasses? From what I understand intersections is the biggest thing, followed by being hit from behind.

, around 3-7pm when people are dead tired and wanting to get home from work. Intersections are the worst. You’ll be fine, take that bike out and do your thing. Nothing has changed with stupid drivers
