well i got a few questions.. if you dont mind answering.

i fukked up my gpa at my community college. i still need my pre reqs before anything. i was wondering since i am Black and male how it effects hiring in the nursing field. Also up to What level math did you have to take? Rn or Bsn?

Being black and male won't hurt you at all. I know plenty of black dudes who are male nurses who didn't have any trouble getting hired. That's how I became interested in nursing was seeing dudes who looked like me doing it while I was working at a state hospital. GPA isn't a big deal until you"re trying to get into programs like CRNA because it can be limited slots and competitive. Focus on getting high grades in courses like A&P I & II, Microbiology, Psychology, English Comp. 1 & 2. They really just look at your grades in those core classes and what you make on your ACT. I believe all you need is college algebra if that. Math in nursing isn't complicated all you need to know is basic math add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, decimals etc. I did a 2 year program for my ADN. It only takes a year and half to bridge it into a BSN degree. There are different ways to look @ the situation though breh. If you grades are kind of messed up make sure you apply for the LPN program as well. LPN program doesn't require A&P 1 & 2, Microbiology and all that other stuff. You can take a HESI entrance exam and have a shot at getting in. LPNs have bridge programs that let you skip the whole first year of the ADN program so you only have to do the 3rd and 4th semester if you're already an LPN. Hope that helps breh good luck.

What state are you located in?

If your gpa is lacking, I recommend going to a lpn school.

Anatomy & Physiology I & II

Like I said breh if possible see if you can take that HESI entrance exam before the deadline. Go to the nursing building and talk to the LPN instructors and see if there is time. There are websites that help you prep for it as well. You could do the LPN program in 1 year and start making money instead of waiting a whole year just get in the 2 year ADN program.

MD. idk if it 2 late for me to bring it back up.
There are two lpn programs in Delaware that may be within driving range. Both are relatively affordable. You go to an lpn school, work for a year, and backdoor your way into a community college program.
