What resources did you use to learn how to work on bikes?
Any good bike forums or youtube channels to follow
I watched a video today of a dude who got a carbon fiber frame from china for $200 :russ:

Im a fixer by nature. I've never hesitated to take a TV apart, a car or anything so that's comes naturally to me but as far as bikes I watched youtube.

If you live in a major city odds are that there is a nonprofit that teaches classes, and opens up shop on certain days where you can use all their tools.

Thinking about copping a bike. I get a discount from Raleigh, 40%. Or should I try the secondhand market first? I probably only ride for leisure at first.

Find a bike you like or want from Raleigh. Get fitted, make sure it's your size whatever. Then check Craig's for a used bike for the same price or less.

You're nearly in the heart of biking season so you probably won't find any deals on craigs. It's best to wait until Nov/Dec/Jan. When people stop riding, haven't been riding, broke up with their spouse and are selling their stuff, moving and don't want to take a bike, bought a bike and let it sit in the garage and collect dust.

I copped a 1987 Schwinn Letour from a used bike shop. It’s light and built for speed. Still getting used to the dropped handlebars tho

looks kinda like

I'm looking to cop a bike what do yall reccomend?
Cheapest one you can get on BikesDirect.com. You should also get an indoor trainer so you aren't dependent on the weather to ride

And yes I bike like 50 miles a week.... great exercise
