Any one else have trouble believing in a religion?

I've been going through some hard times these past couple months and I didn't no why I've had such bad luck.

Eventually I said I'll start praying but I fell off real fast because I honestly cant convince myself it's doing any good. :mindblown:

Any one else just cant lie to themselves anymore? I wanna pray and believe in a higher power but I think I'm just to smart to believe in bullshyt without evidence. I think I'm stuck as an agnostic even tho I've tried to pray. My mind just wont take talking to something I cant see/hear/etc.in order to help me. :yeshrug:

i don't believe in religion. Most seem like scams to me.

But i do believe there is a higher power. The most high :blessed:. The proof for me is just living life. Seeing the beauty that is life all around me i can't help but feel connected to something greater than myself.

i don't talk to any higher powers. To me worshiping is just appreciating and being thankful for everything.

And in my opinion the higher power isn't there to help you. You got life. Go help yourself. You're in control of your own reality. Manifest your desires on your own. The most high isn't here to do your bidding:childplease:

Yea. My family, especially my grandparents are very religious. Grandfather is a retired pastor.

I just can't bring myself to follow. I think it mainly has to do with my way of thinking. I've had this feeling since I was about 12. When I tried discussing it with my family in high school they blamed it on school. I really don't know why because school never taught me anything about religion. Now I just avoid the topic.

Sometimes I get the urge to tell them that the only reason they're Christian is because our ancestors were forced to believe centuries ago but I understand that people need a belief system to live by.

I'm still somewhat formulating my beliefs. Not sure if there is a higher power but I don't believe in "religion" in itself.
