Most CompSci curriculums aren't geared toward networking/system admin stuff. It's usually a couple of Intro programming classes, Data structures , Algorithms, Software Engineering , Programming Paradigms , Computer Architecture , Operating Systems, and Databases and then you usually pick some concentration that you take electives related tooI hear it a lot TBH, been contracting for years and come across dudes with a Degree in CS but haven't heard or used AD, Exchange, SCCM and they tell me they found it hard to get a starting role as many hiring managers want experience of using those and your CV\resume prob wouldn't get noticed by recruitment agencies without those in your skillset.

Not to say its impossible, like I say I have worked alongside a few with CS degrees. And depends on the role your going for, but coming fresh outta of Uni with a CS degree with no experience of AD, Exchange, SCCM hiring managers would be like
