Research has shown that if you are an alcoholic, when you start back your tolerance stays where you left off. No matter how long it's been since you have drank. Heard it from people personally say this.
Nah this a bold face lie
When I quit for months then drink again my tolerance nowhere near what it was when I was drinking regularly
Used to be able to drink a 12 pack and barely feel it
When I went a year and a half then drank again, i just needed one drink for the whole night. That was unheard of prior to me taking that time off.
I went through a 2-3 month spell of therapeutic drinking a year ago. I kicked it when one day I looked in the mirror and my face was looking bloated as fukk and I was borderline unrecognisable to myself. I was feeling sluggish as well and I was always in a haze.
I haven’t really drank since but I’ll indulge from time to time. It just fukked up that I seem to only drink when something bad has happened.
I remember when I was 24 I tried to holla at this girl and she said “no offense sir but u look old enough to be my father”. I wasn’t even offended at first, I was ashamed thinking I just was on some

shyt.
I asked how old she was and she said “21”.
People had been telling me all that drinking had me looking crazy but it was that moment that I realized what they meant. Looked in the mirror and a recent ID pic I took and I really was 24 looking 40+
Now I’m 41 and look younger than I did 16 years ago
Damn. that's crazy. but nah AA isn't the only way. I think that actually sets people back. because they legit feel like that's the only way, and that's whats pushed. It could work tho, Not saying it couldn't it just wasn't for me.
AA or at least some places might mean well but it’s overall a nice way of putting someone down for becoming an alcoholic. They teach you once an alcoholic always an alcoholic
You got people in there tombout “my name is such and such and I’m an alcoholic… I haven’t had a drink in 15 years”
No person in their right mind would consider themselves or someone else an alcoholic if they haven’t had a drink in years or even a full year (maybe even 6 months) regardless of their past alcohol issues.
