Anybody Else Completely Disconnected From Current Sports?

I don’t sit down and watch sports like I used to, but I absolutely keep up with stats, storylines, who’s gonna make the playoffs, etc.

I'm completely disconnected from the NFL. Everytime I try to get into it I lose interest within 2 mins.

I haven't followed the NBA since the Warriors were playing the Cavs in the finals. It's hard for me to watch.

I'm on my last legs with baseball.

Followed Football (soccer) religiously since I was like 7 years old until 2008-09.. most of the dudes I liked retired or are coaching now. Bunch of kids I never heard of kicking a ball around for millions of dollars. I just can’t justify wasting my time on that, might get back into it for the kids when they a bit older. Something to bond over, father and sons. But never on my own again.

Those of us who rather do it, than watch it

Was just talking the other day with some fools irl and I told them "I play sports, not watch them" which isn't wholly true. I do watch some, mainly boxing some mma, some soccer, tennis, golf, cycling, even some rally and F1. But I was telling them the other day I'd whoop their ass in some cricket or curling. They were like " I've never played those in my life."

Then it dawned on me a lot of people never even ice skated or even attempted hockey, roller or ice, or played lacrosse.

I get down on any "sport" . You can make a sport out of shooting rubber bands ina coffee can and I'll get down. shyt I've played polish horseshoes and bags too. Still can't believe bags is on ESPN.

I made a basketball thread a while ago but honestly all I watch is boxing. Football & basketball are pretty much background noise while I'm grinding

I'm disconnected from modern day Hip Hop music. In the early to mid 2000s I knew every rapper out, today? There's so many rappers out that I can't keep up with them all.


I still enjoy watching sports (Baseball, Basketball and Football) a lot. Its very entertaining, just finished watching a great Bengals/Raiders game and Pats and Bills are about to have an playoff game with near 0 degree temps

after decades I'm pretty much off the NFL. only watch the bears, and they were eliminated from the playoffs well over a month ago, so I quit watching all football after that. I'll watch the super bowl tho.

I get bored watching the games, even when I attend games live. To make it fun I’ll just throw a bill on one of the teams playing.

Ever since Kobe retired I haven't been into the NBA as heavily as I used to be from age 11-38. I still watch it but mostly only during the playoffs. I can't stand watching these lil frail mfs just launching 3s and playing for foul calls.
