I'd love to move to Atlanta, but ain't no beaches nearby.
Would be nice as hell to hit the beach anytime you want after work.

imagine a less car centric america with good public transportation with tons of cities up and down both coasts that you can easily access on a train at every level (local, commuter, high speed rail). I'll keep dreaming
The more traffic gets worse and the more these cars break down it makes me wish it daily.imagine a less car centric america with good public transportation with tons of cities up and down both coasts that you can easily access on a train at every level (local, commuter, high speed rail). It would work great in the northeast and Midwest. The northeast is sort of built like Europe anyway. How good would a high speed rail be? Like how fast could you get to the coast from the midwest?

lake Lanier is only like 50 miles or so awayThey go up to 200 mph. So assuming it was nonstop the whole way.(not a bunch of other stops) it would take about 11 hours from Ohio to LA.How good would a high speed rail be? Like how fast could you get to the coast from the midwest?
