it aint even bout the money necessarily

its understandable, most of us grew up poor cause of how the racist system is stacked against us

thing is, black folks dont even want to be financially independent... that aint even something that crosses our mind, cause we view each other as competition

not passing down any assets to your kids is one thing, but theres a lotta black parents that dont even pass down a damn job skill.. or anything but "religion"

if u talkin bout christianity in the black church, thats basically the worship of some white thug criminal named cesare borgia.. thats who the white image of Christ is based off

thats another way of teachin your kids to be submissive to white supremacy..

cause i aint never in my life seen a black church wit a black image of Christ...

lotta black folks talkin bout entitlement, usually they dont want the cycle of dysfunction, police killings, gang violence, poverty... they dont want that shyt to stop

matter of fact they wanna speed up the process of black death and destruction

cause the psyche of a c00n thinks that if they are the last nikka on earth, then they no longer gotta compete with other black folks for cacs social approval

its a devastating mental illness that been killing us for way too long...

for an intro on how to break the cycle... go buy Claude Anderson's Powernomics book..

Don't know how nikkas can not aspire to not be shyt in life, you can be a bum I won't knock you for that ain't none of my business but don't knock the next nikka whose trying to get somewhere and aspire to be something greater on life. I know for some of you being subpar and mediocre is good enough just to get by but I digress

Y'all do know not even Africans have this mindset? My grandmother even tried to make sure she leaves my mom with something before she passess

Never understood why black people believe group economics us the cure to black struggle. Like we dont alreasy have hundreds of black millionaires who were supported by black Americans who so far have done shyt for our people as a whole. Group economics is a pyramid scheme. Where the top get rich and the bottom gets shyt.

Whats even more puzzling is this myth of the black struggle and how we lack unity and upward mobility. Why do people look at us like we are some wounded animal. New day and age in America. If you are intelligent amd really about growth then you dont feel the need to compare your race to other races. Pretending like poor Asians and Whites dont exist. In America the number of impoverished whites is astonishing. Flat out.

And to clarify I dont want to give an impression that thinking about your kids future is not important. I support alot of whats been said. Just think some people approach life like its some systematic reality where there is only one way(usullay thier way) to live. When its the variables in life that make life the interesting mind fukk that it is to begin with.

:snoop: This I can't see the whole picture ideology is terrible ya'll. @GrindtooFilthy is right. It's not just about group economics and we all know that but we also know, if you not doing what you suppose to do, you ain't getting shyt there either.

Dog you need to understand the mindset and culture I was raised on. I don't give a fukk about those those groups too but I will say they have the key. Group economics isn't necessary, what's necessary is too change our mindset. My parents are Nigerian they up academics and family economics not necessarily group economics.

My mom told me she has nothing to give me and my sister when she dies but what she will to do for us is instill a good education and work ethic to make sure we go farther in life than they ever did. I graduate college next year and my sister is studying for med school, now the rest is just on us to grind and make sure we can give our children something when the time comes. I'm not having kids until I have that "fukk you" money

Trust I see the picture breh. You got the one tracked mind . Everybody aint go be rich. But everybody can be happy. If you cam find a balance betweem both then good. But for those that dont....there are other values that can and must be instilled that are just as if not more important and priceless.

If your grown why do you want anything from your parents anyway. You suppose to take care of them. Thats the process. My mom makes bank. And she does have life insurance...but do you know the last time I asked her for anything? I lace her with shyt( when I can). Thats how she raised me. And I grew up poor. And didnt go to college. And I struggled like hell in my 20s but now I got my own house..married..2 damn near new cars in my driveway and fianacial security. Do I struggle still yeah...because there is never enough money...but do I have happiness...absolutely. I was raised to be an independent man. Dont need anybody but my wife and myself to get where I want in life. For my kids I want that. They dont have to go to collge...but its strongly implied...they dont have to be better then me...just find thier own life and live it to the best of thier means...whatever that means....

im from the block baby girl, im just grateful n happy my parents aint kick my black ass out when I turned 21 :manny:

People always say this as if it's an accomplishment or achievement. You from "the block" or from "the hood" because your parents couldn't afford anything more than what the hood had to offer. But to not want their child to endure the same thing they had to, they will set them up and plan ahead. Whether it be putting money into a college fund, savings account or both.

That isn't "white people shyt" it's smart people shyt. There's no entitlement to it, it's just wanting your child to have a better chance then you (the parent) had.

You got it backwards, I was never expecting anything. My mom and dad came to this country homeless and grinded to put me where I am now, I knew from age 4 that I would have pick my self up and do my own shyt to get to where I was heading I just look at what my parents did as a bonus I didn't want or feel the need for them to do half the shyt they did but they did it anyway because they loved us

no resentment. when i was younger, i use to watch and listen as my father would grow upset or frustrated with his mother. sometimes it'd be over things that didn't really matter. or, perhaps a particularly serious matter. whatever the reason, whether it was a matter of disarming my father or simply just her at her wit's end about how to answer his excited manner of questioning, she'd always say "well, i did the best i could".

i think my parents have given me what i need. anything else is up to me.
