I do this, what's the problem?
I have tried so many times to teach my mother how to use tech and she doesn't grasp it at all, yet she wants the latest and greatest gadgets

I don’t want to keep enabling this. Yeah, I’m going to do it, but they need to cut this out. Plus. I’m trying to leave the house as little as possible because of the Rona.
If they've never done their own taxes , they won't be doing it at 62 years ,just make sure they have their , mortgage , property taxes , DMV fees and whatever else they need and pick up an online tax software also make sure they have last year's taxes so you can get last year's AGI

They have all that. They have documents going back 20 years, despite only needing to keep things for 7 years.

Also, he never hang the phone up after a conversation. He said, "it always just hangs up by itself" (ie in actuality the other person hangs up first). I'm like
How do youexpect the phone to know when u r done talking??? When you were growing up with a regular phone, you had to get up and put the receiver back on the base to "hang up". Then later, you had to press the button on the cordless phone to hang it up. So if you don't hang up and the other person doesnt it's just gonna sit.

My father outright refuses to learn even the basics and his justification is I am too old for this, no curiosity to actually attempt to independently trial and error until he gets to grips with it.

For simple shyt that could be said in a text. I do not check my voicemail unless I’m job hunting or something like that.

Grab X Y Z from the store when you come by later”

Pops its 2020, he has a smartphone too!
