Back in ‘08 when I was in college on the side of I-40 in Greensboro.

My gauge was broke, but I was one of them dudes that “knew my car” and thought I could make it to my grandmas house 15 miles away for some gas money. Didn’t make it, and walked up one of the interstate ramps to use my last on a gas tank and $1.50 worth of gas just to get it up to a gas station and wait on my cousin to bring me a few dollars.

yeah this happened to me like 3 times back in the broke boy days. one time my sister brought me gas the other times i called AAA

Yep twice, both times were obviously my fault:

Once while rolling into the gas station, car cut off but started up again so I could reach the pump. The other time I had no business forcing it so far, but gas was SUPER expensive where I started. Car cut off in the turning lane trying to go to the station. Had a friend with me so we pushed it in and filled up. Never plan on going through it again, both were over 10 years ago.

Misjudged how far I could go after the light came on with my 1st car (05' Lancer), and when the realization hit, it was all but too late. Still made it like halfway into the gas station though. Filled the canister up to make it to the pump and get more


Got that Digital Dash now tho so I know exactly how much I got left and will occasionally test it intentionally just to see how far I can go

So far, I've taken it down to like "17 miles remaining" without having any issues

Once during my broke college days. I was parked at an apt. complex w/ a gas station across the street. A couple of near misses during my broke pre-employment days...

I’ve had a few close call...you don’t want to be caught lacking on those old country roads in the South ,

I make sure I go to the gas station every Sunday no matter what.

the parts people should be careful with are those deserts in Nevada, New Mexico and Arizona.

i drove from Vegas to LA and don’t recall seeing many gas stations.

Had a CTS-V and the ECU went to shyt. Gas gauge went out on us.

Never . I get gas once a week on the weekend, usually about $7 or $8. I don’t let my shyt go below half.
