ive seen most of the movies cause i usually watch them when i first get them

i would say i have seen around 80% of the movies i have and probably 40% of the tv shows

this is all stuff i been getting over the last 10 years so its not like i got all this shyt at once

I'm looking for a good HTPC front end ... I used to use Xlobby but it stopped being free the community died ..

I tried media portal, XMBC and some others ... I just havent found that perfect one yet ... Can you do xbmc on android yet? and control your PC?

Lucky you .. I've seen about 30% of the movies I own ...

As lame as it might sound, I just use the regular WMC movies interface. Its very simple and fast, and gives a thorough description of the movies and even properly list the actors. Its not as graphic as XMBC or MediaBrowser 3(I would recommend that second just because of all the different things it can do) but the simplicity makes it easy to do and it stays smooth.

i originally was building a htpc but i had a few external hard drives die on my so i also built a server

i just built it like i was doing my htpc but i used a server chassis instead of a normal case cause it holds more hard drives and i installed Windows Server 2012 on it instead of windows 7 or 8

this the chassis i copped

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147155

it holds 8 drives.I got 4 3tb drives and 4 2tb in it now(20tb total)

when i upgrade my shyt im copping this one that holds 15 hard drives :wow:

how well does it handle TV shows? i was thinking of using that too but XBMC is pretty good at labelling and organizing everything

i haven't quite graduated to a server yet. i still have a 1TB HDD plugged up to the USB port of my router and use that to bridge the gap between both my PCs. that and shared folders.

I set up a Synology 5-Bay NAS filled with 3TB drives earlier this year. Got them in a RAID configuration just in case. I'll never go back to externals again.

Got a Shuttle HTPC for the living and XBMC on Apple TV 2s in 3 bedrooms.

My next goal is to wire the entire house for Ethernet and get a rack mount to redo my networking gear. Need to get a nice POE switch to get my surveillance cameras set up too. Too many plans so little time!
