I probably get one a year. Out of nowhere. The room is literally spinning for 15 minutes. I can control myself but I get disoreinted and feel helpless. Part of it it, i think, is excitement (not even fear) about the future. There is also the stress of maintaining everything I've acquired. Racial issues and being steadfast in heterosexuality come into play, too. Do you have panic attacks? Why?

the last time i had physical anxiety attack was when i drunk drove that time. i was blackout drunk and dont remember getting in my car. woke up with the neighbours buzzing my fla. looked out the window and i smashed up the side of their car. after i got all that sorted i checked the travel news in my city and some cyclist got hit and runned and died. the car that did it was the same color and model as mine. so obviously i thought i killed some dude for like 3 days. had the worst panic attacks for a week even after they arrested the dude that did it. i was driving round in a car that was identified in a hit and run and the front of my car was all smahed up from hitting my neighbours car. i felt like shyt.

What brought it on?

I was extremely stressed out. I had a scholarship that required me to keep an A average. It is stressful because you are ALWAYS worried about your grades. The idea of even getting a B on something stresses you out. Plus I was working 35+ hours a week and a full time student, and dealing with some other issues. I lost my grandfather. I couldn't really focus. Everything took a back seat. I was literally a zombie. I was stressed to the point where I was forgetting where I lived and would get lost on my way home. I let the stress take over again at the beginning of this year.
I'm on a new scholarship. I had some people get mad at me saying that I failed black people, but whatever. When I was really sick they didn't come to see me, so I just do me.

The program that I was in has like 60 people and less than 10 black people. It has no black males. I had my suspicions about that but oh well. There were some black people who were over 30+ telling me, and other black students that we had to finish because the non blacks already had bad ideas about us. I mean I get that, but as a black person I really get tired of being told that I need to upstage another non black person. For instance there was a trip program for students to go to Austria during the winter. One of my black professors kept pushing me to go because all the non black students were applying. I did not want to go because I had other plans, and he give me a look of disgust. Like wtf? I want to do me, excel, and help my people any way that I can. I got really sick and since I don't have health insurance it was hard to get help. Thankfully I'm employed and making a good amount so I paid for everything out of pocket. When I was sick I wasn't offered help. Only three people outside of my family helped me.
