I plan on ditching the gym and working out in general when I hit 40, so I've been thinking on it.
Don't ditch the gym.
Do a cycle before you ditch the gym bossmanBeen going to the gym 3-4 days a week since 18.
shyt is a waste of time.

If you're going to ditch the gym TRT is pointless. It's like getting a bbl, and not going to the gym...If you hop on TRT and don't do anything to maintain the levels, they're going to plummet...Thus making it useless.
Shyt is not a waste of time... Just think where you'd be now if you hadn't been working out 3-4x per week for the past 20 years...

You literally just need 15 minutes of cardio a day and you good.
Breh...you're getting older. Cardio alone ain't gonna cut it. You need to maintain muscle mass, keep your core strong and keep your bone density high. cardio alone isn't going to maintain your test levels and/or stave off the inevitable annual drop. As a man...Especially an aging man weight training is the most important thing you can do for yourself.
Stop the cap.
I got older uncles and my grandfathers were pushing 70-80 and still mobile.
and not a single one of them was bumping iron.
I didn't say you were going to be in a damn wheelchair. But if you compare them to men who are still lifting into their 60's and 70's there probably isn't much competition.
Speak for yourself breh...breh ain't nobody trying to be built like Zangief at 60 or 70.
