You can fukk up a french press sometimes ...it's also an artform. The best way to make home brew is to use a dripper..they're cheap and easy to make and the preferred method for great coffee. Then when you start getting into it you can start buying ceramic drippers. Hour Glass viles to drip the the coffee in. And top of the line filters

He mentioned something like this.. He said the dripper will guarantee you pull no less than a 5 out of a scale 1 to 10....

But he also said that you can't get over a 7 with the dripper....... and to get a 10 out of 10 with cappuccino especially, and coffee too, you need to learn how grind, brew, and pull under the right temps....

The only reason I got really interested in this is because he was a snob, and he used to order his beans roasted no more than 2 days before he got them..... The taste of fresh roasted beans vs. gourmet grinds on a Krueger was laughable....... It was like comparing cube steak to a marbled aged ribeye..... (if drunken black of course) but that wasn't the deal sealer for me...... The caffeine buzz on freshly grounded roasted coffee via Aero\French press was :ahh: compared to the Krueger...

your whole knowledge of coffee making is based on just one guy? if he was such a snob he should have roasted his own beans :heh:

French press make amazing coffee

Aeropress is better because of all the control you have over it but if all you're going to do is add water and plunge then you'll get similar results from a French press

Starbuck makes amazing coffee if you ask for pour-over or go to one with the Clover system

Dunkin sells whats known as breakfast blend which is a lightly roasted coffee(less taste but no bitterness) made for people who dont normally drink coffee

I have a bunch of coffee makes, I have a bag with all my utensils for coffee making and I even have a setup at work

I wouldnt consider myself a snob more like an addict

He actually thought about it, but he said the smell and his wife would probably get on his nerves..... plus, it takes a minute to master and at the time, he was doing a lot of cycling and training.... and yes, all the info I know about coffee came from one guy..... how many teachers or people do you need to teach you addition?
