My mom seemed to be doing so much better, but this weak she is throwing absolute fits. doesn't believe she is in the house she purchased. thinks everyone is lying to her, tries to do shyt she simply cannot do. My pops had a stroke not too long ago, and I moved backed in and lost my job, because she needs constant attention. this is going on 2 and a half months. And I've read it takes time. that's fine. but I need to know if this is normal or not? because this shyt is getting crazy, and it feels like 2 steps forward 2 steps back.

My grandpa has had a stroke but the only thing he struggled with was movement in his right hand. He never acted out because of it. Sometimes he gets moody but that’s a rare occasion tbh and I wouldn’t relate it to his stroke. Post Stroke Depression is a real thing though.

It’s nothing out of the ordinary. Some people react different to strokes. Grateful my grandpa ain’t have it bad after his. Best advice would be to talk to a doctor about the situation you’re in. They can usually help out and give advice on what would be the best way to handle all of this.

Sorry to hear about that. I was fortunate enough to have my parent grow old healthy, but I would see others have to deal with it.

It's a lot. :wow:

My grandfather had a stroke and he never fully recovered. He was basically a kid and throwing tantrums all day long. He beat up my grandma all the time. He lived for another 10 years before he pass and honestly wish he had died instead than seeing what my grandma had to go through looking after him. Couldn't put him in a home because grandma didn't want too even though she was basically getting frail because of him.

My father had his first stroke when i was 17. He was maybe 57
He didnt even realize until he went to the doctor a few days later. He had a bit of a limp, but intially you could hardly notice. It was gradual. Eventually he used walker.

Then i must of been maybe 23 or so when he had his 2nd one. He lost the ability to speak and walk after that. That was about 5 years ago.

Its tough, its an adjustment to say the least when it happens to a parent. Some days i’m not sure if my dad is still in there either. I tell myself he is. I dont know if it gets easier. I hope your family feels better.

I’ve had a stroke like incident when I was a senior in high school & I was petrified. My entire right side was numb and I went to the nurse. They told me to lay down in the other room. Then some dudes were fighting in the lunch room; one got his eye busted so I got sent back to class...

My dad had a stroke 5 years ago and for about 2 weeks the left side of his face was kinda droopy. It's some scary shyt man and I was crying my ass off when I heard about it from my sister.

He's actually recovered from it now and has all of functions. But I still worry about the future.
