EDIT: Copped 2 weeks ago :myman:

I'm looking to cop one of the new 13" Retina Macbook Pros within the next day or so. I plan to get 256GB storage and 16GB RAM but I don't know which processor I wanna get.

They offer a base i5, an upgraded i5 (extra $188 :ehh:), and an i7 (extra $375 :scusthov:).

Does anybody here have the new rMBP? If so which CPU did you get and how is it?

Base i5 is probably fine. Processors have been overpowered for 80% of people's needs for years.

Yeah, I'm not doing any spectacular shyt. It's just hard to get a good overview of the real world difference since it just dropped.

i got a 2.4 i5 and its more than enough for what i do...i also edit videos and shyt sometimes with no issues. So i can just imagine a current gen i5 will be just fine, even in the long term.

Think I'm gonna save that money and just get the base i5 with the options above. The clock speed doesn't seem to make $200 worth of difference.

I have no use for a one port computer.

that's the regular macbook with the 1 usb-c port.

the MPB is the same as the 2014 model except with slightly better processor standard and the force touch pad. I just bought the 2014 version fully maxed out for basically the same amount as the new one with the least amount of space.

The new trackpad takes alot to get used to. It doesn't click as deep as the regular trackpads if that makes sense.

You probably copped the last one from the refurb store :heh:

I got impatient waiting on them to get some more in stock and just grabbed a new one. I'm gonna be pissed when they drop a new one in the summer :russ:
