Yeah that's iffy. But as long u not doin no Olympic lifts and straight dropping shyt in the regular so u should be good

I have this comment saved from reddit when I was looking to build a DIY platform maybe it would help u lower noise and reduce load on the floor

"Because I'm ghetto, at one point I built a deadlifting platform with old tires. Wash the tires at one of those pressure-washer car-washes, then bolt them onto the bottom of a sheet of wood that will hold your weights. Then cover it with matting. Spreads the load, absorbs the load, feels fine to lift from. Cost is less than $100 since you can get car tires for free, and you probably already have matting"

I would say why are you spending all that money but I’m staying away from gyms for a while. Definitely gonna invest in some more weights and equipment

Why’s not move junk from the basement to the upstairs room and then out the gym in the basement. Otherwise i guess you’ll be cool if you keep the weights spread around instead racked all in one place

You said u had weight mats, you talking about the gym mats or stall mats from the tractor supply?

id say double or triple up on the stall mats, put some sort of soft material between them? My boy is on the 3rd floor and wrapped his mats in old blankets and stacked 3. Does deadlifts and everything

They will be able to hear it but it should be wayyyy quieter. Another thing is maybe get a freestanding dumbbell rack. After the set rock them hoes and rerack
