So, I got this App idea that I wanna create and I reached out to a few people to see about developing it and they were giving me quotes of about $20k to make it. For that price, id rather learn how to make the shxt myself.

If you know about coding, what is the best coding lingo to learn to make an app? :
Java, C++, Python etc.

If you have a really good app idea you're probably better off paying someone else to build it than learning to code yourself as it will take you a minimum of a year to get to the point where you're building apps at even a junior level.

If you insist on going that path, learn Javascript and React and build a cross platform mobile app with React Native. Go to Udemy.com and download some courses to get started.

Going to need some more info because certain languages are good for certain things.

Python would be the easiest but java, c, c++ are the languages to know if you are building something a bit more complex and have to worry about memory usage
I think my app idea would be a bit more complex and would require memory usage.

Im still trying to decide the route I wanna go, paying or learning it myself. The lowest quote I got was $6k from an indian guy. Whether I pay or not, I would still like to learn. Thanks for your info.

Well for one its GREAT that you arent mentioning what your idea is on here or to anyone. If you do talk to someone about your idea have them sign a NDA asap.

Java, c, c++ are one of the harder languages to learn. When did you want to launch your app?

Indian programmers..specifically those from India are hit or miss..most of the time miss. They take a long time to finish, the final product is faulty, if somethings needs to be changed then you have to wait on them to change it..just be careful brotha

yea, I don't wanna mention it as I feel it would be a great idea in a certain space. As far as when I want to launch it....Im not in a rush, ive been sitting on this idea for like the past two years, now I want to stop thinking about it and starting making plans to execute it.

Ok imo you should do some more research to see what will be the best language to use and then once you have that figured out you will have to buckle down and get to work.

It's going to be HARD..trust me but if this is your vision then just grind out. Use google a lot because sometime there is code or libraries that you can use and that would save you a lot of time.

you're trying to make mobile app?
need to know swift for apple products
kotlin/java for anroid products
for web learn html/css
i would start with just one of these.

BEFORE YOU START
write down exactly what you want your app to do before you start coding.
this way you can explain and search all of the functionalities that you need for the app to start coding it.
also, this will tell you if the app is worth coding for or not.
raywenderlich.com is a pretty good place to start it's full of cacs but the coding world is in general so :yeshrug:
