Moving to Boston next year pending my girl getting into grad school and we need advice. Where do Black people live and where can we get reasonable housing in a decent area with black people and not break the bank.

Roxbury, Mattapan, Dorchester are areas in Boston where most of its black residents live. Brockton is a city next to Boston that is predominantly black.

I’m not from there but I have/had family there and they lived in Dorchester & Mattapan(

@Bigblackted4 now you know I live in mass right? Lol..I'm west of Boston
Dorchester and Roxbury are good bets. East Boston is alright but rents creeping up. Randolph a bit outside the city is also good and a more affordable for more space.

I used to live in Salem and commute to Boston everyday for work in the North End. It is cheaper to live outside of the city if possible and just commute everyday. As far as Boston itself, as mentioned most of the black people are in Roxbury, Dorchester, and Murderpan.

From what I do know Dorchester has a higher concentration of Black people.
