Moving to Boston next year pending my girl getting into grad school and we need advice. Where do Black people live and where can we get reasonable housing in a decent area with black people and not break the bank.

Roxbury, Mattapan, Dorchester are areas in Boston where most of its black residents live. Brockton is a city next to Boston that is predominantly black.

Aren’t too many black people in East Boston. It’s mainly home to Central Americans.

I used to live in Salem and commute to Boston everyday for work in the North End. It is cheaper to live outside of the city if possible and just commute everyday. As far as Boston itself, as mentioned most of the black people are in Roxbury, Dorchester, and Murderpan.
