First time I learned about Yoruba I was 17 and it was from the "Fix My Life" lady, Iyanla Vanzlant way before she became popular. I would later buy this book for every chick I fell in love with. LOL.
I highly recommend this book. Good stuff in here.
Teenage curiosity had me looking into everything from Obeah to Wicca. Now that Wicca is some shyt u dont wanna play with. I went in a trance and did a visual mediation from a book on Wicca and the end result was 2 back to back nightmares telling me not to fukk with that shyt.

Yes. I'm not in it for the religion. Just want to pay homage to my ancestors and become more spiritual. I'm not a part of any organized faith by the way and won't be for a long time.Isn't there more to this than just religion tho?

yes been thinking about this. would be very helpful if your parents/grandparents are still alive. even immediate family can help you. i'm a bit hesitant on trusting some sources but I definitely plan to delve more into mines in the new year
My parents are Secular Baptists. So, they don't really know about this type of stuff in detail. Even my mom's side of the family which is West Indian. Um, my family in Massachusetts could probably help.
