Yeah, last Saturday. Was ok, felt long, unfocused, the subplots were numerous, and most went nowhere, and it wasn't very funny....I though 'Funny People' was hilarious, while including some real drama, and serious moments, this was uneven, I thought Apatow was upping his game on this one, but it felt like a step back, too much juvenile/toilet humor, instead of actual observations about life at 40, or whatever. Albert Brooks and the supporting performances are all really good, the daughters are too, mostly, Apatow is a bit too indulgent, I think. The sum didn't equal the whole...
