the tax thing would be a tough sell, cuz it's probably gonna be looked at like as a cosmetic surgery. I don't know any trans people who are asking for the government to pay for their transitional surgery though. The fact that she's been struggling with this shyt and even took steps to transition 30 years ago (spent 5 years going through treatment) is crazy. People always joked about her surgeries back then and no one ever knew what was below the surface. She's brave and I think the interview was handled with a lot of care (i.e. making distinctions between sexual orientation & gender, the history of the transgender movement, not putting emphasis on her anatomy).
