Anyone Been Summoned for Jury Duty?

Yep. I got summoned a little over a month ago and was never picked for a jury pool. Both days I got called in we got released early and I said fukk work and took the rest of the day off since the court only reports what days you serve...

I've never done regular jury duty only grand jury duty

One of which I'm still currently apart of the quarum of. (6/19-12/19).

My first time on GJD was 12 years ago and was everyday for three weeks

This was the case --> Man gets 30 years in beheading of Glen Cove woman

Yeah they kept sending me that shyt, I kept taking that shyt up there giving them my schedule because I had class.

So I get another one, i was just like fukk it. I was the only black person so I knew they were going to pick me.

Some case where some white dude went around an unmarked police car that was stopped at light because he wasn’t moving fast enough. They had it on tape though, and he didn’t really wait, and he represented himself and was terrible.


Went back to deliberate.....10 mins

I went to a Jury Duty summoning in June 2018, they called a ton of names over 2 hours and if yours was called you don't have to participate in the Jury. I was lucky and they paid me $15 for it

I’m tellin y’all ... if you’re black and you get called and the defendant is black... if you get called to be questioned by the attorneys , you should try to NOT to be excused . I’m telling you , unless you’re in a HEAVILY black populated country, the shortage of black people , especially black men is ALARMING .

Went only cuz I get paid from work was on jury as a sub 4 days drunk driving case dude hit a elementary school fence while arguing with his drunk girl guy walks away his girl took the car got pulled over later down the road was found guilty

yes, three times in about ten years. each time, when they call me to the box, i fake passing out in the courtroom and get excused.

Twice. I like jury duty. One was for a triple attempted murder. We found him not guilty. The second was for a civil case for a car accident against an insurance company. I wasn't picked for that one.

Lol a few times. Let's see;
the first time, I sat on an armed robbery case. They were found guilty.
Second, nikka kidnappned his baby mama and held her at gunpoint. nikka eventually confessed after her tearful testimony
Third, cac was killed during an armed robbery. The killer was sentenced previously but the case I was on, the killer fingered this businessman as setting up the hit.
The killer eventually confessed he was lying
Fourth, statutory rape. The nikka alleged the girl lied about her age on Facebook, which she later deleted . The case was adjourned til a later date.
Fifth, attempted murder. His defense argued that the CCTV evidence wasn't substantial due to the fact that he has a back tattoo. The shooter on tape had no visible tattoos. He was set free
After that, I had my boss write the judge so I could be excused.
