Anyone been to an AA meeting before?

not aa but many for drug addicts and abused women. i don't do drugs or anything but it's very easy to get women at those types of meetings.

Went for about 2 1/2 years. I wasn't an addict I went as a part of my schooling. I wouldn't refer people to it if it was a waste of their time. There's some personalities it just doesn't work with, especially if you can do it on your own but there are different positions you can hold to maintain your sobriety and help others.

Court ordered and for my job. That shyt sucked. Had me self reflecting my first time there, had a nikka in tears thinkin bout my near death experiences and fukk ups due to alcohol. But for its purpose, it wasnt needed by me.

I accompanied a friend to one meeting for court requirement. As 1st timers they acknowledged us, I (regrettably) claimed to be 24 hours sober which wasn't true asawe drank the night before and they gave me a chip. Apart from that I didn't feel bad or embarassed being there. Some real shyt you hear

Anyway always thought about returning for, like many yal said, meating some heauxs, but I'd only want to fukk around with someone just going thru it for courts. Wouldn't want to pull someone down into my alcoholism that's serious about seeking help.

Not nearly as much as previously. Lost my mom a few months back and went on a heavy bender. Ive settled down tremendously.

shyt... i was put on mandatory AA meeting thats going to be 6 weeks long for getting dui. I start on the 8th of jan. I kinda need that shyt but i don't wanna go. ..
