I did insanity off&on for about a year. There is this 1 day I did legs in the gym, then insanity the next day. My left thigh got messed up from too much trauma & now everytime I lift it always clenches.
But during that year I did initially lose 10lbs, but the biggest difference was calfs. I went from like 200 to 500lbs+ on calf raises because of it. I also did some substitute exercises for the ones that did a lot of jumping to prevent knee pain.
I would say be careful if you do it & lift weights, but I was doing both for the longest & didn't have an issue.
