He's in trouble.

If he can't get a release date after that mixtape, huge attention for the Lana Del Rey video, collab with Rihanna, appearing at the VMAs and then having Kendrick, Drake and 2 Chainz on his second single....then he's struggling.

Man said Ferg is killing it and didn't post 100 million roses or Choppas On Deck? :what:

Half way thru this current tour I realised he weren't droppin his album Oct 31st; little promo, videos, artwork, tracklist nothing.

Yams said a new mixtape in 'the winter' then the album. I think the tape will have some fire on it, and combined with the buzz of the tour he'll be cool to drop, but please God no more 'fukking Problems' type shyt.

Keep it normal with the rest of the Mob, the Zombies and Bamz and perhaps 1 or 2 outside collabs but people that fit his whole sound.

all he needs to do is STOP fukking with everyone in the industry and make sure he uses up and coming producers like he did on LiveLoveASAP

its like when nikkas get put on they instantly decide to throw away what made them 'different' to the public.

Or at least just make sure clams casino makes half the beats, and ty beats and spaceghostpurp (just make up with the nikka :sadbron:) make the rest of the beats

:rudy: :what:

the only thing FERG has done where i've thought "damn i'd actually pay for this" is 100 million roses. The nikka was "different" on that track, especially with the visuals as well. EVRYTHING else the nikka been on he's sounded like a new yorker karaoke'ing a master p song

He gets by on having a 9000> charisma level

nikkas have retarded opinions when it comes to odd future tho

they have a dedicated fan base that won't go away. The thing is, tyler had the chance to become mainstream and change the direction hip hop was going in, but he made a mistake with goblin (album was medicore at best) and now the best they can hope for is that their core audience stays rocking with them cos they'll only be underground from now on. Their time to 'blow' has come and gone. As a group they just weren't good enough to back up the hype with their music, and because their music was so leftfield in comparison to the rest of mainstream hip hop, it needed to be A1 in order for them to solidify their spot in the mainstream....which is wasn't...so

cant go stale if u never were fresh

Riiiiight. In this virtual reality era with fake fame and fake celebs the only thing labels look at is real numbers. I think they stopped being fooled by the youtube numbers after seeing that it doesn't matter how many "views" you have or how many downloads your mixtape got.

It's meaningless as soon as you walk outside your house or turn your computer off.........They thought this kid was big or gonna be big based on the net. When they put his vid on 106 and Park off his initial hit they thought it would connect. IT DIDN'T. The radio is still a main factor when it comes to sales. He doesn't get any spins. EVEN NOW with Drake,2 Chainz and Kendrick on a song he ain't gettin spins.

I knew they'd push his album back, but not as many times as they have while they look for that 1 song for radio to connect him with the regular folk( the buying album people who aren't net savvy).

They now have him opening up for Rihanna on her next tour. If that doesn't help him cross over, they will shelf him.

Only way these labels can capitalize off these youtube rappers, is to sign them and put out an album all within the same month because if you wait longer than that, it's too late. Even though it's only been like a year it feels like Rocky been out 5 yrs. in internet time.

shyt, all I bump on asap mob tape is Ferg verses

damn near wrapped around a light pole when i heard that nikka on Full Metal Jacket :ahh:

cacs lookin at me like :huhldup:/:ohhh:

"King of new york in my hood we blow up houses, grenades look like quarter water sittin on the counter"

:ninja2::bustback:

Ferg was definitely the star of the mob tape, I like him more than rocky now. Rocky also killed underground killas that's an underrated song I never even heard it mentioned.

This is coli man...odd future still sells out every show they're doing fine. Granted it is all white people but not hipsters. I don't personally like any of them besides frank. Not to mention a successful show on adult swim.

Selling out shows means they're doing fine? People really need to stop thinking that a rapper's income from doing shows is all profit... unless a rapper has a personal investor or is putting up money for the shows themselves, they're not seeing a ton of money until they get deep in the game. Are they out there having fun without any worries? Sure. But stacking hella paper from touring? Eh... only indie cats doing that are folks like Curren$y and he's seeing about 300k a year. Look how long it took him to get there (he's been rapping for over 10 years).

Nah they're selling big venues like HOB, my point wasn't that they're doing amazing I'm just saying like bury da bwoy said they're fine they have a really dedicated fan base. They don't seem relevant because most OF fans are the hip hop messageboard types and most coli members probably don't associate with the type of people that fukk with them.

what a retard post

1. why are you comparing curren$y's career to odd future's when their careers have 0% similarities

2. You have no idea what aspirations odd future has for themselves. Have you ever thought they might just want to earn enough money to make a comfortable living?

3. You have no idea what money they make from touring or any of their endeavors outside of music (their books, their tv show on adult swim and their clothing line (which is shyt, but its extremely successful)

your post is irrelevant to reality and based around assumptions made on hip hop generic idea of what 'success' is
