Nah. shyt is a game changer. Astros Playroom brings it all together with the fine haptics, adaptive triggers and sound. Goat controller

yeah. I feel like spider-man and demon's souls and theo ther launch titles don't really take advantage of it probably because they were far into development before they got to really understand the controllers. Once people see what you can do with it in astro's playroom they will start using more of that stuff, if not even just directly copy and pasting a lot of it.

I was playing it a little yesterday and you really can feel the rain drops on you and the wind pushing you to the side. It's really weird how they use all these little features to immerse you even more so into the game. I was thinking why does this wind feel so intense than I realized my controller was tightening up fighting against it and also emitting the sound out of my controller, it's nuts.

spider man, IMO was the biggest offender. A lot of those QTE would’ve been greatly enhanced by using the new controller features. That part on the bridge when he’s holding on to the web is a perfect example.

Yeah, but i give them a pass, miles was an inbetween game between spider-man and ratchet & clank for them. I’m surprised we got that much of a unique experience from that game in the grand scheme of things.

ya I do...granted I only played astro for a minute...I remember someone mentioned in a review that it provides more so of a distraction than creates immersion and I get what they mean now...I’m still curious to see how it will work with shooters but ehh

i didnt find it all that amazing for some reason. ima go back and give it another play through because seems im in the minority
It is novel in the matter that it rumbles. As far as myself, I would say that the introduction of gyro in the sixaxis was a bigger :ohhh:to me than this. With most games, I usually turn rumble off. Racers are typically the games where I keep it on. I don't like my controllers getting crunk in my hands lol.

Nah, it has great potential. Just play Astro's Playroom to get the full experience.

Companies will learn how to take advantage in the future since its still new to them

The poll results :dead:

The best rumble in Astro was when the rain is hitting the umbrella. It really felt like little drops hitting all over the controller. In Demons Souls when you enchant your weapon the controller gives off a really faint rumble while it's active that was really cool.

I think the triggers have more potential to really change gameplay.

Nah, the dualsense makes me not even wanna pick up the XSX controller. I got ditched 2K for XSX and got it for PS5, the experience is night and day.

yea them triggers is where its at, using the bow in astro bot gave a cool sense of tension that i think some games will benefit from. I liked how the rocket felt as well.

Apparently, deathloop will have the triggers lock up when your gun jams ( saw this on IG)

Haven’t played COD but apparently it has good implementation as well.

looking forward to how other people implement them as well.
