When I was 16, my cousin worked at a local video store and would let me rent flicks.

Friday and Saturday nights in the parking lot of Blockbuster Video used to be the spot to pick up females. if they were there renting movies by themselves or with other females on date night then you knew they didn't have boyfriends.

The red slips for the new releases and $20 cd's like KCI & JoJo, 2 litters of coke and candy, it was a big part of childhood.

those were the days...as a kid my mom used to surprise us with rentals from there..then years later as a Hs senior because i worked near one..i used to go on my break over there to rent or buy the pre owned VHS they had on deck..now the blockbuster in my hometown is a damn farmer market now...things done changed

I liked because you would know really nothing about the film. You’d just look at the cover read the back and say what the hell

if it was trash you’d still watch it unlike today I’ll watch something on Netflix for five min get bored and then go onto the next

Na, but I remember coming up on a video game during the BB closing sale. For some reason the game was in the display case. Well, I wasn't gonna spend $20 on a used game.

This was our weekend thing at 16, 17. A couple b-horror movies for the brehs to laugh, couple whatever for the ladies.

Some of them of them porns, weed, liquor. Out there looking like from Friday to Sunday.

Blockbuster was great because women considered that shyt a legit date night. See unlike Netflix you actually had to leave your house to go to Blockbuster. You take your girl up there, walk around the store debating what you in the mood to see, get some cheap ass movie food like pizza or burgers, some popcorn/candy, then you go back home. CHEAP.

I still remember my mom renting me a PSX when it released. I knew i was going to ask for one for Christmas but that was months away and i really wanted to try it out.
